Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden title for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a challenging season, achieving just one match at the big events and suffering a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - caused him falling of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with former coach his previous coach.
Now working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his initial title since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt from spring of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has won 21 championships at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my children simultaneously, so to win a title is particularly special," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on court had caused some to doubt if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, striving to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an improved serve.
He came back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
Both players traded break points in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his initial tour title, gained dominance to create a final set.
Moutet saved four early-game break points in a competitive third set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
